Emergency classroom space in the North of England.

The challenge

Churchill Community College faced significant structural issues within several of its existing buildings, leaving them unsafe for student use. With 200 pupils requiring immediate on-site accommodation, the school needed a fast, reliable solution that could restore safe environments without disrupting students’ academic learning.

The solution

Maxi Space delivered a comprehensive modular setup designed to replace the lost teaching capacity. The solution included a two-storey building, including:

  • 12 classrooms
  • 3 staircases
  • Restroom facilities
  • A staffroom
  • 4 meeting rooms

The configuration provided an abundance of space to support both teaching and staff operations, ensuring the school could continue functioning effectively while long-term structural issues were addressed. atmosphere for learners.

Delivery & install

All required groundworks, delivery, and installation were completed within a 6-week timeframe, allowing the temporary learning facilities to be opened quickly and safely. The rapid turnaround ensured students could return to classroom-based learning with minimal disruption.

Testimonials

“Maxi Space were excellent; they delivered exactly what we asked for. We had a very short time span for this project due to the circumstances we found ourselves in. Maxi Space supported us at every level, fast-tracking the design process, initiating manufacturing during the planning process and working through the night at times to ensure that the building was completed in time.”
