Why ESG is Important

According to United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), “the increased construction activities and urbanization will increase waste which will eventually destroy natural resources and wild life habitats over 70% of land surface from now up to 2032. Construction uses around half of natural resources that humans consume. Production and transport of building materials consumes 25 – 50 percent of all energy used (depending on the country considered). In the UK the construction industry counts for 47% of CO2 emission, of which manufacturing of construction products and materials accounts for the largest amount within the process of construction

    • Future carbon reduction projects include supporting certified carbon offset projects and working in partnership with Climate Partner

    • This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans

    • Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG

    • Reporting Protocol corporate standard[1] and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting[2]

    • Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard[3]

    • This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body)

    The dependency on digital technology is significant and we’ve developed a business continuity strategy which is robust to any threat to the systems and data we operate.

  • Our factory is based in Billericay, locally we support a charity who are involved with supporting disabled children and their families.

    With recent events in Ukraine over £10,000 has been donated in support of the war effor

    Many of our projects deliver social value and we bring our positive / ‘Can Do’ approach to improving our community.

  • We offer a wide range of training and apprenticeship opportunities and are working with The Training Initiative with their ‘The Future Leaders

    Apprenticeship programme’ to guide our investment in people.

    Our HR policies are used to assess the health & wellbeing of staff. We regularly hold oneto-one sessions to give individuals the opportunity to discuss how we can support each

    person’s health and wellbeing. The growth of the company gives staff and opportunity to expand their knowledge and take on more responsibility.

    Expecting staff to contribute is essential in improving wellbeing and health. Everyone needs a coach to achieve their best and our HR team have a supporting approach to coach our staff in making a difference.
